Speciality Impact Munitions Instructor
This course covers an introduction to Specialty Impact Munitions & their weapons (12g/37mm/40mm). It looks at the advantages of single projectiles verses multiple projectiles. Operational considerations such as skip fire/direct fire are also examined. Crowd control considerations such as open or contained are looked at together with crowd & mob behavior. Single target acquisition & dynamic entry support are studied with a presentation on physiological /psychological effects of impact munitions. We review several Incident case studies &liability consideration. Test Data in relation to blunt trauma & ballistics and Energy Theory are discussed. Development of departmental Policy and Procedures development is profiled. The live firing exercises are based on operational scenarios. We highlight the need to document training & Instructor development and follow up procedures. These course are only open to current Police, Corrections, Military or Law Enforcement Instructors. Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training or Departmental Instructor qualifications are a prerequisite. This is a one day course
