Counter Terrorism Awareness
Today prevention and response to terrorism is a real thing. The purpose of
this course is to raise awareness and understanding of Operational Security
and their role in the prevention and response to terrorism.
Learning Outcomes:

Describe what terrorism is and where Australian terrorist threats come from

Describe the role of NSW Police Force in counter terrorism

Describe who a tterrorist is and identify the behavioural indicators of a terrorist and terrorist activities

Principles of identity and document fraud and how that relates to terrorism

Describe and identify what an IED is and the components of them. To understand the initial action and the safety considerations with regards to IED incidents

Describe the intelligence process in relation to reporting suspicious activity and terrorist indicators

Describe the components of CBR and how they may be dispersed or used

Describe the indicators of a CBR incident and understand the SFAE and STEP principles

Describe the differences and consideration between HAZMAT and CBR incidents
