Robbery Awareness

This course is designed for those who handle cash. The purpose is to increase the chances of survial in an armed robbery situation. If you work in a department store, service station, as a cash in transit officer, or just interested in knowing what to do, then this course is a must. 

Course includes: 

PREVENTION

• Risk awareness and risk assessment.

DURING AN ARMED HOLD-UP

• Understanding the importance of avoiding confrontation.
• Understanding the importance of remaining calm mentally and physically.
• Having an understanding of how to follow instructions.
• Being aware of how to avoid a seige or hostage situation.
• Having the skills to observe and collate information that may assist the police.

AFTER AN ARMED HOLD-UP

• Understanding the appropriate protocol to advise police and emergency services.
• Having a basic understanding of associated trauma and how to seek assistance.
• Having the skills to secure and protect the crime scene.
• Understanding the importance of completing Offender Description Forms and Weapons Identification Sheets.
